I’ve been a writer and editor specialising in health, science and social issues for 30 years. Alongside my journalism, I've always worked with various professional, statutory and voluntary organisations on communications issues – particularly presenting information in attractive, accessible ways for the public and professionals. My features and analysis appeared regularly in The Times between 1999 and 2013, I've edited health sections for both The Times and the Daily Telegraph, and I contribute to magazines including Cancer World and BBC Science Focus.
My journalism and work on patient information booklets has won me several awards. I’ve been Chair of the Guild of Health Writers. I've written one book and I'm working on others. And I write blogs. Have a look around my website to find out some more about what I've been up to.
